The Student Government of The Charles School will hold a Winter Formal Dance in the TCS Gym on December 3rd, 2011 from 7PM-10PM. We are in need of parent volunteers to help chaperone the dance. Chaperones are asked to arrive at 6:40 PM and meet in the gym. We also are in need of light refreshments such as bottled water, a variety of soda, snack foods like chips and cookies, fruit and veggie trays, and paper products such as plates, cups, forks and napkins.

Count Week Set for October 3-7 It is essential for all students to be in school this week because Oct. 3-7 is the student count week for the Ohio Department of Education. Please make sure your child attends school, has no outside appointments and is prompt every day!

The school year is nearly upon us, and that means that, for many of you, the first courses of your
college career are beginning soon! For others, you’ve been taking college courses for a while
now, and that means even greater challenges than you've faced in the past.
This year's college experience will begin Saturday, August 20th. This is the date and time for
our Autumn Semester Orientation. We will meet in the Griffin Student Center. (That's the
giant building on Sunbury Road.)
The first session, which will begin at 9:00am, is for returning students.
Tuesday, January 10, 2012 - 8:00am - 2:00pm
The Red Cross will be in the TCS gymnasium for a blood drive on Tuesday, January 10 from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Anyone above the age of 17 can donate blood. Anyone 16 years of age can participate with a signed parent permission slip. Parents are welcome to come and donate. The blood drive is a part of Mrs. Johnson's Service for Soldiers expedition during our winter expedition.

Chris Cakes is coming with his "all you can eat" pancakes (that you have to catch), sausage, and orange drink breakfast on Wednesday, January 11th from 8-10 am. This is a fundraising event for Prom. For $5 a plate you can eat as much as you want and help TCS have a great prom!

Enrollment Information Sessions are informal meetings for families and prospective students interested in more information about TCS@ODU or enrolling students in The Charles School. Sessions include presentations by faculty, administrators, and students about The Charles School. After presentations, prospective families will have time to ask questions that they have about our program. Interested families will have the opportunity to meet with presenters when the question-and-answer section concludes and to fill out or turn in an Application for Enrollment at the session.
