About The Charles School

History

A member of the Graham Family of Schools, The Charles School was founded in 2007 by an experienced team of educators. Students pursue an accelerated high school curriculum and begin taking classes at Ohio Dominican University (ODU) while they are still in high school. Their smooth transition to college is made possible by the commitment of faculty at the high school and the college, ODU. Parents, teachers, advisors and college professors all work together to insure that students become life-long learners, prepared to be leaders in 21st century workplaces and communities beyond high school and college.

Built on the proven success of The Graham School, the curriculum at TCS@ODU combines rigorous academics and experiential learning to prepare students for college work at Ohio Dominican University. Since 1911, ODU has offered a fully accredited, high quality, career- oriented liberal arts education on a beautifully wooded, serene campus in the heart of Columbus. Ohio Dominican University is known for its student centered, innovative approaches to teaching and learning, its commitment to excellence, and its reputation for community service.

A member of the highly regarded Graham Family of Schools, TCS@ODU is a different kind of high school providing:

  • Tuition free high school and college credit.
  • Preparation for college success.
  • Community service and learning expeditions for off site, real world experience.
I am truly thankful for the opportunity to take college courses while still in high school; it can change my life tremendously.
