GATEWAY I
The purpose of Gateway I is to assess a student’s acclimation to the demands of the learning environment at The Charles School. This Gateway will be assessed by the student and his or her advisor, and promotion will be verified by the Dean of Academics.

The purpose of Gateway II is to assess a student’s readiness for the second year of study at The Charles School. This Gateway will be assessed in an individual interview with the student and a Charles School staff member, and promotion will be verified by the Dean of Academics.

GATEWAY IV
The purpose of Gateway IV is to assess a student’s readiness in progressing toward taking college level courses at Ohio Dominican University. This Gateway will be assessed by the student and his or her advisor. This assessment will include a presentation, by the student to the advisor, but not limited to the advisor, justifying promotion. Promotion will be verified by the Dean of Academics.
