Free and Reduced Lunch Program Information

The Charles School today announced its 2011-2012 program year policy for (free and reduced-price meals ) for students unable to pay the full price of meals served under the National School Lunch Program. The school office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party. The Federal Income Eligibility Guidelines will be used for determining eligibility. Children from families whose annual income is at or below the Federal Guidelines are eligible for free and reduced price meals. Application forms are being distributed to all homes in a letter to parents or guardians.

T-Shirts on Sale to Benefit TCS Yearbook

T.C.S. Tee Shirts are on sale for $15 until Friday, 9/18. See the student government board near room 9 for more details (click here for spirit wear order form).

3rd Annual 5K Run/Walk

Students attending TCS@ODU have the opportunity to graduate with a high school diploma and up to 64 college credits from Ohio Dominican University, the school's college partner. Many of our students might never have had the preparation or resources to consider higher education before enrolling in The Charles School and are often the first in their families to attend college!

 

Spring 2011 Expedition Course Catalog

Welcome to the course catalog for Spring Expedition 2011 at The Charles School!

From April 11 to April 20, 2011, students at TCS will be engaged in a unique learning opportunity. For the entire week, each student will be enrolled in exactly one course. These courses are described in the catalog. This experiential education is a signature aspect of the learning opportunity presented at TCS, and this Spring Expedition looks to be our best yet!

This year's theme is Protecting Our Habitat, Preserving Our Humanity.

Below you will find a letter sent to parents on February 18th. Please read this notice carefully as it contains important dates and information regarding the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT).

New date for Parent/Student/Teacher conferences

Dear TCS Parent/Guardian:

This letter is to inform you that the Parent/Student/Teacher conferences previously schedeled for April 27 and April 28 have been changed to March 15 and March 26, 2011. If you cannot make these dates, a conference can be schedule with your student's advisor and teachers at a later date.

The invited conferences are by appointment only. You will receive a phone call to schedule the time of your conference on March 15th.
